Berberine Hydrochloride Tablets

[Indications] Berberine hydrochloride tablets are used for intestinal infections such as gastroenteritis and diarrhoea caused by susceptible bacteria, and for the relief of the associated gastrointestinal discomfort.

[Usage and dosage] Administer orally. The usual adult dose is one to three 100 mg tablets three times daily; children take smaller doses according to age, roughly half to one tablet for children aged 1 to 3 years and proportionally more for older children, three times daily. Berberine is poorly absorbed and acts mainly within the gut, so it should be reserved for uncomplicated intestinal infections.
