[Indications] Compound reserpine tablets are a fixed antihypertensive combination used in China for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension; each tablet contains reserpine, hydrochlorothiazide, dihydralazine sulfate, promethazine, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, calcium pantothenate, magnesium trisilicate, and potassium chloride.

[Usage and dosage] Administer orally. The usual adult dose is one to two tablets three times daily after meals, adjusted according to the blood-pressure response. Because the combination contains reserpine and a thiazide diuretic, depression, nasal congestion, sedation, hyperuricaemia, glucose intolerance, and hypokalaemia may occur, and prolonged use requires regular monitoring.
