Ropivacaine Hydrochloride Injection
[Specification] 10 mL: 75 mg
[Indications] Ropivacaine hydrochloride injection is indicated for surgical anaesthesia, including epidural anaesthesia (including caesarean section), spinal anaesthesia and peripheral nerve block, and for the management of acute pain by continuous epidural infusion or intermittent bolus, such as postoperative pain and labour analgesia.
[Usage and dosage] The dose depends on the technique and the block required. Surgical epidural anaesthesia in adults usually uses 15 to 25 mL of the 7.5 mg/mL solution (113 to 188 mg), and peripheral nerve blocks use the 7.5 mg/mL strength according to the block performed; for postoperative analgesia, an infusion of 2 mg/mL at 6 to 14 mL per hour is typical. Injection must be given slowly with repeated aspiration, and the maximum total dose for a single epidural block is 250 mg.
