Gadopentetate Dimeglumine Injection
[Specification] 15 mL: 7.035 g
[Indications] Gadopentetate dimeglumine injection is an intravenous gadolinium-based contrast agent indicated for contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain, spinal cord, and other body regions, and for magnetic resonance angiography in approved indications.
[Usage and dosage] Administer as an intravenous bolus. The usual adult dose for MRI of the central nervous system is 0.1 mmol/kg (0.2 mL/kg of the 0.5 mmol/mL solution). Renal function must be assessed before giving gadolinium contrast because of the risk of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis; the drug is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment or acute kidney injury and should be used at the lowest possible dose with careful clinical assessment in all patients.
