Iopromide Injection

[Indications] Iopromide injection is a non-ionic, low-osmolar iodinated X-ray contrast medium indicated for contrast-enhanced computed tomography, intra-arterial and intravenous angiography, urography, phlebography, arthrography, and other radiographic procedures described in the product information.

[Usage and dosage] The dose depends on the examination and the strength used. For contrast-enhanced computed tomography of the body, the usual adult volume is 60 to 120 mL of iopromide 300 or 50 to 100 mL of iopromide 370; for cranial computed tomography, 1.0 to 1.5 mL/kg of iopromide 300 is used. The contrast medium is injected rapidly through a suitable intravenous or intra-arterial line, and the patient must be observed for contrast reactions during and after administration.
