Fluconazole Sodium Chloride Injection

[Specification] 100ml: Fluconazole 0.2g and Sodium Chloride 0.9g

[Indications] Fluconazole in Sodium Chloride Injection, USP is indicated for the treatment of oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis and cryptococcal meningitis. It is also indicated to decrease the incidence of candidiasis in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation who receive cytotoxic chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. Other uses may be supported by clinical evidence but should be distinguished from the specific labeled indications.

[Usage and dosage] Fluconazole is administered by intravenous infusion. The dosage depends on the infecting organism, the site and severity of infection, and the patient's clinical response. For oropharyngeal candidiasis in adults, the labeled regimen is 200 mg on the first day, followed by 100 mg once daily. Other indications require their own specific regimens; a loading dose and maintenance dosage may be appropriate depending on the indication. Dosage adjustment is required in patients with impaired renal function.
