Tinidazole Capsules

[Indications] Tinidazole is indicated for the treatment of trichomoniasis, giardiasis, amebiasis, and bacterial vaginosis in non-pregnant adult women, according to the applicable oral product labeling.

[Usage and dosage] For the US-labeled oral tablet formulation, recommended regimens include a single 2 g oral dose for trichomoniasis; a single 2 g dose for giardiasis in adults; 2 g daily for 3 days for intestinal amebiasis; and 2 g daily for 3–5 days for amebic liver abscess. For bacterial vaginosis in non-pregnant adult women, labeled regimens include 2 g daily for 2 days or 1 g daily for 5 days. Doses should be taken with food.
