Terlipressin for Injection

[Indications:] Terlipressin for Injection is indicated for the treatment of acute bleeding from esophageal varices.

[Usage and dosage] For adults with acute esophageal variceal bleeding, the initial dose is 2 mg administered by slow intravenous injection. Maintenance treatment is generally 1–2 mg intravenously every 4 hours until bleeding is controlled. Treatment should be continued until bleeding has been controlled for 24 hours, for a maximum treatment duration of 48 hours.
