[Indications] Coenzyme Q10 (ubidecarenone) injection is used in China as supportive treatment in congestive heart failure, coronary heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, primary and secondary hyperaldosteronism, sequelae of neck trauma, cerebrovascular disorders, haemorrhagic shock, and hepatitis.

[Usage and dosage] Give by intramuscular or intravenous injection. The usual adult dose is 5 to 10 mg once daily, with a course of treatment lasting 2 to 4 weeks. Coenzyme Q10 is not an authorised medicine in the European Union or the United States, where it is available only as a food supplement, so the injectable product should be used only where it holds a national marketing authorisation.
