Matrine Glucose Injection

[Specification] 250ml: Matrine 0.15g and glucose 12.5g

[Indications] Matrine and glucose injection contains matrine, an alkaloid obtained from Sophora flavescens, in glucose solution, and is used in China to restore normal alanine aminotransferase and bilirubin levels in patients with chronic hepatitis.

[Usage and dosage] Administer by slow intravenous infusion. The usual adult dose is one bottle, 250 mL, containing matrine 0.15 g and glucose 12.5 g, once daily, with a course of treatment lasting two months. The infusion should be given slowly, and the patient should be observed for local reactions, dizziness, and, rarely, allergic reactions.
