Inosine Tablets

[Indications] Inosine tablets are used in China as supportive treatment for acute and chronic hepatitis. Inosine is a purine nucleoside that is metabolised to adenosine and inosine monophosphate and is claimed to support cellular energy metabolism.

[Usage and dosage] Administer orally. The usual adult dose is one to three 0.2 g tablets three times daily, and children take one tablet three times daily. Inosine should not be confused with inosine pranobex, which is a different product with antiviral indications.
