Tramadol Hydrochloride Sodium Chloride Injection

[Specification] 100ml: Tramadol hydrochloride 0.1g and sodium chloride 0.9g

[Indications] Tramadol hydrochloride in sodium chloride injection is a centrally acting opioid analgesic indicated for the management of moderate to severe pain, including postoperative pain and pain after trauma, when intravenous or intramuscular administration is required.

[Usage and dosage] Administer by slow intravenous injection or, more usually, by intravenous infusion over 30 to 60 minutes. The usual adult dose is 50 to 100 mg every 4 to 6 hours, with a maximum of 400 mg per day, reduced to 300 mg per day in patients over 75 years of age; the daily dose must also be reduced in renal or hepatic impairment. Tramadol may cause nausea, dizziness, seizures and respiratory depression, and it lowers the seizure threshold when combined with other serotonergic drugs.
