Sodium Hyaluronate Injection
[Specification] 2.5ml:25mg
[Indications] Sodium hyaluronate injection is indicated as an adjunctive treatment for degenerative knee joint disease and periarthritis of the shoulder, where intra-articular administration improves joint lubrication and reduces pain; ophthalmic sodium hyaluronate preparations are used as viscoelastic aids during eye surgery.
[Usage and dosage] For intra-articular use in adults, the usual dose is 25 mg once weekly, injected into the knee joint cavity or into the shoulder joint, subacromial bursa, or the tendon sheath of the long head of the biceps. A course of five injections is usual, with the number of injections adjusted to the severity of symptoms. The injection must be given under strict aseptic conditions, after any joint effusion has been treated.
