Bismuth Potassium Citrate Granules
[Specification] 1.0g∶Bismuth0.11g;1.2g∶Bismuth0.11g
[Indications] Bismuth potassium citrate granules are an oral mucosal protective and anti-ulcer agent indicated for chronic gastritis, for epigastric pain related to excess gastric acid, heartburn, and acid regurgitation and, in combination regimens, for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori.
[Usage and dosage] Dissolve one sachet in 30 to 50 mL of warm water and take orally. The usual adult dose is one sachet four times daily, the first three doses half an hour before meals and the fourth two hours after dinner, or two sachets twice daily in the morning and evening. Because of the bismuth content, the product should not be taken for longer than two months without medical review; black stools and a black tongue are harmless and reversible.
