Peramivir Sodium Chloride Injection

[Indications] Peramivir sodium chloride injection is a neuraminidase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of influenza A and B, including severe or complicated influenza that cannot be treated orally or by inhalation, in patients who present within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.

[Usage and dosage] Administer as a single intravenous infusion over at least 30 minutes. For adults, the usual dose is 300 mg; in severe or complicated disease, 600 mg may be infused over at least 40 minutes once daily for up to 5 days. Children receive 10 mg/kg, with a maximum single dose of 600 mg. Renal function must be assessed before use because the dose requires reduction in renal impairment, and treatment should start as soon as possible after the onset of symptoms.
