Berberine and Trimethoprim Tablets

[Specification] Berberine hydrochloride 100mg, trimethoprim 50mg

[Indications] Berberine and trimethoprim tablets combine berberine hydrochloride, an antibacterial alkaloid, with trimethoprim and are used for intestinal infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including gastroenteritis and bacillary dysentery.

[Usage and dosage] Administer orally. Each tablet contains berberine hydrochloride 0.1 g and trimethoprim 50 mg; the usual adult dose is one to three tablets three times daily with water. Use should follow local antimicrobial stewardship guidance, and the trimethoprim component requires caution in patients with folate deficiency or renal impairment.
