Product Details
Dual-valve hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.5 sodium chloride injection
[Specification] 500ml
[Indications] Hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.5 in sodium chloride 0.9% solution is a colloid plasma substitute indicated for volume replacement in hypovolaemia and shock and for therapeutic haemodilution, as permitted by the applicable national authorisation.
[Usage and dosage] Administer by intravenous infusion in the same manner as other hydroxyethyl starch 130 preparations: the maximum daily dose is 33 mL/kg and the maximum rate is 20 mL/kg per hour, with the first 10 to 20 mL infused slowly and the patient observed for anaphylactoid reactions. The 130/0.5 solution differs from 130/0.4 mainly in its molar substitution, so the product-specific approved regimen must be followed; the current contraindications in sepsis, critical illness, renal impairment, and severe coagulopathy apply.
