[Indications] Gadoterate meglumine injection is a macrocyclic ionic gadolinium-based contrast agent indicated for contrast-enhanced MRI of the brain and spine, contrast-enhanced MRI of other body regions, and magnetic resonance angiography in adults and, where licensed, in children.

[Usage and dosage] Administer intravenously at a dose of 0.1 mmol/kg body weight, equal to 0.2 mL/kg of the 0.5 mmol/mL solution; a repeat dose of up to 0.2 mmol/kg may be given in selected indications where the local label permits. Because it is a macrocyclic agent, the risk of gadolinium dissociation is lower than with linear agents, but the lowest effective dose is still recommended in patients with renal impairment.
