[Indications] Furosemide Tablets are indicated for the treatment of edema associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and renal disease, including nephrotic syndrome. They may also be used in adults for the treatment of hypertension, alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.

[Usage and dosage] For adults with edema, the usual initial oral dose is 20–80 mg as a single dose. If needed, the same dose may be repeated after 6–8 hours, or the dose may be adjusted according to the diuretic response. The maintenance regimen is individualized according to clinical response and fluid status. Dosage and monitoring requirements vary according to renal function, electrolyte levels, and the underlying condition.
