Ceftriaxone injection

[Indications] Ceftriaxone is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, intra-abdominal infections, bacterial septicemia, bone and joint infections, and meningitis, as specified in the approved product labeling.

[Usage and dosage] Administer by intravenous or intramuscular injection, depending on the product formulation and indication. The usual adult daily dose is 1–2 g, administered once daily or in divided doses, depending on the infection and its severity. The total daily dose should not exceed 4 g under the cited labeling. Pediatric doses and treatment duration vary by indication and body weight.
