[Indications] Metronidazole injection is indicated for the treatment of certain serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria. Depending on the approved product labeling, it may be used for intra-abdominal infections, gynecological infections, skin and skin structure infections, and other specified anaerobic infections.

[Usage and dosage] Administer by intravenous infusion according to the approved product labeling. For adults with certain serious anaerobic bacterial infections, a commonly used regimen is 500 mg intravenously every 8 hours. The dose and treatment duration depend on the infection, its severity, and the patient's clinical response. Follow the product-specific infusion instructions.
