Oxytocin injection

[Indications] It is suitable for the induction and augmentation of labor, prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine atony, and promotion of uterine contraction after delivery or cesarean section.

[Usage and dosage] This product is administered by intravenous infusion or intramuscular injection. For induction or augmentation of labor, the usual method is intravenous infusion starting at 0.5–1 mIU/min, gradually increasing the dose according to uterine response, with careful monitoring of uterine contractions and fetal heart rate. For the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage, 10 IU may be administered by intramuscular injection or slow intravenous injection after delivery, according to clinical requirements.
