Fluoroquinolone Glucose Injection
[Specification] 100ml: 0.2g fleroxacin and 5g glucose
[Indications] Fleroxacin and glucose injection is the intravenous form of the fluoroquinolone antibiotic fleroxacin, indicated for susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, gastrointestinal infections, and skin, soft-tissue, intra-abdominal, and pelvic infections. Because serious adverse reactions have been reported with fluoroquinolones, they should be reserved for infections for which other treatments are unsuitable.
[Usage and dosage] Administer by slow intravenous infusion, protected from light. The usual adult single daily dose is 0.2 to 0.4 g, and the infusion should last at least 60 minutes to reduce infusion-site reactions. The dose must be reduced in renal impairment; fluoroquinolones may prolong the QT interval and cause tendon damage and should not be used in children or during pregnancy.
