Dipyrone (Metamizole Sodium) Injection

[Indications] It is used for the treatment of severe acute pain and high fever that cannot be adequately controlled by other treatments, where approved.

[Usage and dosage] For commonly used adult formulations, a single dose may be 500–1,000 mg by slow intravenous or intramuscular injection. Dosing intervals and the maximum daily dose depend on the product label, age, and body weight. Intravenous administration must be slow because rapid administration can cause a severe fall in blood pressure.
