Phloroglucinol Injection

[Indications] It is used in certain countries for the symptomatic relief of pain associated with smooth-muscle spasms, including gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary tract spasms.

[Usage and dosage]For intramuscular or intravenous injection, the usual dose is 40–80 mg per administration (1–2 ampoules of 40 mg), with a total daily dose of 40–120 mg. For intravenous infusion, the daily dose may be up to 200 mg, diluted in 5% or 10% glucose injection. The injection should be prepared and administered by qualified healthcare professionals. Do not mix with other medicines unless compatibility has been established.
